Nursing home residents often do not get many visitors or packages. Amanda Sonnier, a Topeka area Thirty-One saleswoman, is wanting to give residents a reason to smile. She is offering to create "love packages", with donations from customers. She will deliver these gifts to local nursing homes.

A donation of $13 goes towards a personalized Oh Snap Bin (the top loop un-snaps and can be snapped to a wheel chair, walker, or hung over a door knob), tax, and shipping. She will fill each bin with items such as large word search books, pens, chapstick, small packages of kleenex, a bottle of water and small treat/snack.
If your family would like to sponsor one, just message Amanda on Facebook and you can choose the color/print of the bin. This will list a few weeks, but don't hesitate to make someone's day!
If you can't sponser a package, or if you would like to do something similar in your area, you can create a package using similar baskets and goodies from a discount store. You could even use this idea for folks in the hospital, cancer patients, and others who are in need of a care package.
